5 Axes Table-Head (TH)

These machines have one rotary axis on the table, and one rotary axis on the head. The axes are independent - rotation of one axis has no effect on the other.

In GPP2, the table axis is always termed the primary (or alpha) axis, and the head axis is the secondary (or beta) axis.

The part, which is mounted on the table, rotates and moves with the table axis. The spindle and tool rotate with the head axis.
