: Options and Results
Access: Open this function from one of the following locations:
-
Select Electrode > Geometry > Holder from the menu bar.
-
Select Holder from the Electrode Guide.
Add or edit an imported holder on top of the electrode Blank.
Notes:
-
The holder can either be selected from a holder file or from a catalog of holders (for example, from the EROWA or System 3R catalogs).
-
This function is only available when an electrode is active in an assembly environment.
Required Step 1
-
Select the holder from the Cimatron Explorer. The Holder is placed on the Active UCS.
-
If the imported part has a cutting object, select from the on-screen options Cut Blank to Holder to cut the imported holder cutting object solid from the active part electrode Blank solid, or Do not Cut Blank.
Optional Step 1
Set the Holder Rotation parameters.
Select from Automatic as Blank, Manual, or None.
Option |
Description |
Automatic as Blank |
Use the same Z-Axis rotation as defined in the Blank function. The Rotation parameter is displayed, but cannot be edited. Use this option to associate the holder rotation to the Blank (if the Blank is rotated, the UCS Rotation changes accordingly). |
Manual |
Use the up and down arrows to select a value or enter a number in the field. |
None |
Set the rotation value to 0.0. |
Optional Step 2
Move the holder a delta distance from the Electrode UCS.
Click OK in the Feature Guide to complete the function.
