The licensing method used by Cimatron changed with version 2026. The new method is more secure and efficient than the previous procedure and marks a structural change in the licensing architecture.
Prior to this release, licenses issued for a new release would also work for previous versions of the software. Because of these licensing system changes in Cimatron 2026, licenses issued for Cimatron 2026 will not be compatible with earlier versions of the software. However, licenses issued using the new system will work for Cimatron 2026 onward.
Any existing licenses for prior versions of Cimatron will continue to work until the license expiry date (if one exists).
Cimatron 2026 can be installed alongside an existing copy of Cimatron 2025 on the same machine.
