Exiting the Sketcher

Access: Invoke the Sketcher and then invoke this function from the following location:

Click OKOK or ApplyApply in the Sketcher Feature Guide or on the Sketcher Popup Submenu to exit the Sketcher.

The system checks for self intersections in the sketch. This feature can be controlled from Preferences Editor > Sketcher.

Note: Self-intersections (a line that crosses over itself) can occur when using the Sketcher. These incorrectly defined entities can block the successful execution of some of the functions that may be run on the entity in the future. 

If one or more self-intersections exists in the sketch, a warning message is displayed.
 

  • Click No to return to the sketch in its last recorded state, with all intersection points highlighted.

    Modify the sketch to remove the self intersections then click OKOK or ApplyApply.

  • Click Yes to continue the OK or Apply process.

    The Sketcher feature will appear in the Feature TreeFeature Tree as follows:

    Important: After you complete your sketch, you must exit from the Sketcher before continuing to other application commands.

Exit the Sketcher without creating the sketch

Press Cancel in the Sketcher Feature Guide or on the Sketcher Popup Submenu.
