Extrude > New/Add: Defining a Draft Angle

Optional Step 1

By default, an extrusion has no draft angle. In other words, it is a uniform prism; for example:

This step enables you to define a draft angle if required. The following options/parameters are displayed:

Draft Angle

This is a toggle option Draft Angle / None:

Draft Angle

Define a draft angle for this extrusion.

If the extrusion is to both sides of the extruded entity, you can set different draft angles and directions for each extruded side. The Both Sides option is available in Required Step 2 for the Extrude Delta/Reference and To Closest options, and is the default in the Delta Mid Plane option.

None

No draft angle is defined and the options/parameters for this step are not displayed.

 

Inside

This is a toggle option Inside / Outside which enables you to define the direction of the draft angle.

Inside

The extrusion is widest at the selected entity.

Outside

The extrusion is narrowest at the selected entity.

Draft Angle

Enter the required draft angle value. Note that if the angle is too large, the result may become geometrically invalid!
