Cimatron is a powerful and flexible CAD\CAM software that contains several features. Each of these features is enabled by a relevant license. When you purchased the Cimatron software, you specified which of these features you required.
Your Cimatron purchase generated an Entitlement ID (EID), which is a text string composed of 32 characters, letters, and numbers. This EID provides information about the elements of Cimatron you have purchased (such as NC, Mold, Die, License Server, or some combination of these items) that can be used within the Cimatron software.
Activating the EID on your computer generates a license. The license grants access to the features in the Cimatron software you purchased that can be used as often as required until (and if) the license expires. You can purchase the license on a single PC or dongle, or a floating license, which is shared by a License Server to be accessible by a network of Cimatron PCs (machines that have a suitable Cimatron installation.
Possible Scenarios
Your Entitlement ID will enable one of the following paths:
Activate a license on a dongle to be able to use the licensed features on any PC that has the correct version of Cimatron installed when the dongle is connected to that PC.
Activate a license on a single machine to provide access to Cimatron, only on that machine, if it has the correct version of Cimatron installed.
Activate a license on a License Server, either on a dongle or a PC, to allow other Cimatron users on the same network to use the license.
