Info option
This tab displays information about the current Machine Simulator settings.
- Display Unit System shows the units used for the simulation: Metric (mm) or Imperial (inch).
- Machine Components Collision Detection shows whether collision detection for the machine components is enabled or disabled.
- Collision Tolerance shows the value of the collision tolerance used for all collision checks between the tool(s) and other simulation elements (except the stock) according to the collision checking groups defined in the machine definition.
- Collision Detection Settings provides details about the Collision Detection settings:
- Discrete Collision Detection / Continuous Collision Detection describes the way in which collision detection is performed.
- Process Intermediary Positions (Maximum Distance X, Maximum Angle Change Y) indicates that an RTCP mode is active and that the Machine Simulator may perform an interpolation if the distance between two consecutive moves is smaller than the Max Distance value X or the angle for any rotational axis is smaller than the Max Angle Change value Y.
- Report Collisions for Tool Parts indicates that gouge and collision checking for tools with any other object (except the stock object) will be performed and signalled for each individual tool part. When this is not displayed, the tool is considered as one single object.
- Proximity Alert shows whether the Proximity Alert is enabled or disabled.
- Proximity Alert Detection Settings: provides details about the Proximity Alert Detection settings.
- Machine Components Alert Enable (X) indicates the presence of a proximity alert for all machine components specified in the collision checking groups defined in the machine definition and the value X for which the alert is triggered.
- Tool parts alert enable (Holder, Arbor, Shaft) indicates that the tool(s) parts will be reported as being in proximity when they are closer than the values specified for the workpiece, stock and fixture elements.
