Ribbon Bar View

Used to set different viewports, quickly access some other functionalities, and show/hide Docking Panes.

There are four panes:

Viewports

The Viewports ribbon controls the Simulation Area splitting, offering the possibility to observe the simulation from four different perspectives.

  • Maximize: The default viewport, displays one single perspective over the simulation
  • 4 Views: Splits the Simulation Area into four viewports, offering the possibility to check different aspects of the same simulation in each one of them
  • 3 Views: Splits the Simulation Area into three viewports, offering the possibility to check different aspects of the same simulation in each one of them
  • 2 Rows: Splits the Simulation Area into two viewports, positioned one below the other, offering the possibility to check different aspects of the same simulation in each one of them
  • 2 Columns: Splits the Simulation Area into two viewports, positioned one aside the other, offering the possibility to check different aspects of the same simulation in each one of them\

Each of the Viewports' dimensions can be resized by dragging the grey edge between them.

  • Reset Views Layout: Restores the default dimensions of the viewport areas
  • Reset Views Content: Restores the default settings of of each viewport

Screen Objects

Measure Grid: The option to apply an adaptive measurement grid on the Simulation Area.

Export & Capture

  • Capture Graphics Area: takes a screenshot of the Simulation Area.
  • Start Capture Video: starts recording the Simulation Area. This button needs to be pressed again in order to stop the recording.

Note: The Export & Capture settings can be changed in the File > Options > Capture Menu.
