Coolant dialog displayed from the Cutters & Holders dialog:

The Use Coolant checkbox defines whether coolants should be exported from the Cutters & Holders table to the procedure's parameter grid.

When this checkbox is OFF , the dialog is collapsed and the hidden values are not used:

The coolant types and pressure values displayed in the dialog are defined in the NC Preferences (for each coolant type that is checked ON in the preference and given a coolant name).

The coolant displayed in the parameter grid or elsewhere in the system, depends on the selection in the User Defined Coolant dialog, above.

  • If no coolant if defined, Coolant OFF is displayed.

  • If one coolant is defined, the coolant name is displayed.

  • If multiple coolants are defined, Multi is displayed.

  • For multiple cutters, you can set a different coolant for each cutter. In this case, the Coolant button displays See Cutters; clicking this opens the Cutters & Holders branch of the parameter grid, where the Coolant for each cutter may be defined.

Note:

  • If a discrepancy exists between the values in the Preference and the coolant value saved in a procedure, the  flag is displayed in the Process Manager (for example: ). This may occur if the Preference values are changed or if a template with different settings is loaded.
The indication remains until the Coolant button is pressed or until the discrepancy is solved.
