Down Feed

Down Feed is the feed rate of the cutter while removing material, when the cutting direction of the next block is down, relative to the previous one.

The difference between Down Feed and Plunge Feed, is that Plunge Feed removes material to get to the necessary machining level, whereas Down Feed removes material to create the required shape

The Down Feed is measured as a percentage of the main Feed rate.
