Effective Coverage Radius

Distance from the tool's tip that is effectively cleaned by the tool.

The minimum value = 0.6* Side Step

The maximum value =

either:

0.99 * Side Step

or:

0.99 * (Tool Diameter/2)

Notes:

  • The Effective Coverage Radius is defined by the user, and is not necessarily related to the "flat" area of the tool.

  • A small Effective Coverage Radius maximizes the number of areas that will be detected as unmachined areas.

  • A large Effective Coverage Radius minimizes the number of areas that will be detected as unmachined areas.
