Turning Clearance Parameters
On most turning machines, X is radial and Z is axial, as shown below.
Xr indicates a Radius dimension;
Xd indicates a Diameter dimension.

Xr/Xd Clearance |
Enter the X Clearance value to position the tool between each operation, measured as a radius or diameter dimension. The display of this parameter (whether the X is measured by Radius [Xr] or Diameter [Xd]) is defined in the Preferences. |

Z Clearance |
Enter the Z Clearance value to position the tool between each operation. |
