Preferred Order (Drill) / Reverse Order
The Preferred Order dropdown list defines the order in which the holes will be drilled. The following options are available:

Optimized |
The points/holes will be drilled in an optimized order to minimize the motions between the drill locations. |
|
Selection Order |
The points/holes will be drilled in the order in which they were selected. |
|
Main Path X |
The drilling order will be automatically optimized along the X axis. |
|
Main Path Y |
The drilling order will be automatically optimized along the Y axis. |
|
The Reverse Order parameter does not appear in the dropdown list, but is a checkbox selection: |

Reverse Order |
If selected, the points will be drilled in the reverse order in which they were selected. |
Note: For 4/5X Automated Drill - The optimization is done for each separate drilling orientation, so that regardless of the proximity of holes of different orientation, a certain orientation is drilled first before switching to the next orientation.
