Plunge Method

Select the type of entry motion:

Direct

Enter to part directly, using a straight plunge.

Ramp

Enter the part using a ramping motion.

Ramping is a tool entry method whereby the tool enters the part by gradually increasing in depth, preventing any shock loading on the tool to avoid poor tool life or premature tool failure. The angle of entry is determined by a defined ramp angle.

The Plunge Ramp Angle and Min. Plunge Size parameters are displayed.

No Plunge

Enter the part horizontally without employing a plunging motion.
