In Plunge Mill, when using a Side Cutting tool, this is the incremental difference in Z depth that will ensure plunging is Up Only, even for flat surfaces. This means that only progressively higher layers can be milled.

For this reason, Side Cutting is suited for core milling and not cavity milling
