General Preferences > Datum Planes
Access: Invoke this function from one of the following locations:

Select the Preferences button
from the Quick Access Toolbar, or

Select Tools > Main Tools > Preferences from the menu bar.
Navigate to General > Datum Planes.
Set the default size at which a free plane is created. Free planes are planes that are not sized by the parent geometry (such as a reference plane or a plane for sketching, Normal planes by edge and by point, and Main planes). The new plane will be created relative to the screen size (zoom level) at the moment of creation.
Interaction

Set the parameters:
Allow repeated Plane size adjustment |
By default, the Grab Handles on a selected Datum Plane are displayed and available for a single adjustment. Select this checkbox to keep the handles active to enable multiple sequential edits. |
Free Plane size relative to the Screen |
Select between 1 and 100 using the slider or by typing directly in the field. The default value is 50 (meaning 50% of screen size). |
Plane Grab Handle size |
Select the size of the Grab Handles on the new plane. Options are Small, Medium, Large, or Very Large. |

Press the appropriate approval option.
