General Preferences > Increment
Access: Invoke this function from one of the following locations:

Select the Preferences button
from the Quick Access Toolbar, or
-
Select Tools > Main Tools > Preferences from the menu bar.
Navigate to General > Increment.
Set the default increment values shown in pop out option boxes for mm, inches and degrees. These default increment values are used by the pop out option boxes throughout system; an example pop out option box is highlighted below.
In any screen-based spin box, arrow buttons provide the ability to increment the value up or down. Sliding the mouse to the right displays an option to adjust the increment values on the fly. These default values allow you to quickly select a level between loose and fine control.
For each spin box, this preference enables you to set the default displayed increment values and also set the increments to be either fixed or dynamic.
The Increment dialog is displayed.

Dynamic Increment |
Set the default dynamic spin box increment values. The default values are as follows: These values are set for mm, inches and degrees and are displayed as available options when the cursor floats above a spin box, as shown below:
When one of these increments is selected, it becomes active and the spin box uses the value. Notes:

Constant Increment |
Set the default constant spin box increment values. The default values are as follows: These values are set for mm, inches, and degrees. When the cursor floats above a spin box, no options are displayed as the spin box can only move by the defined increment. |
