Navigate to General > Update Mode > PMI and Hole Attributes.

The PMI and Hole Attributes dialog enables you to define whether or not to update or delete PMI annotations or hole attributes.

Interaction

  1. Set the parameters:

Do Not Update

PMI annotations that have been changed or deleted in a server (or parent) file are not updated in a client (or child) file. New PMI annotations added to the server will be updated (added) to the client.

Update All

All PMI changes in a server (or parent) file are also updated in a client (or child) file.

This means that:

  • The visibility of PMI annotations (hide/show status) is never updated (except for newly added PMI annotations in the server).

  • The positions of PMI annotations are updated as long as the new position is not defined in the client.

  • The content of PMI annotations (the text/dimension string/value, postfix, prefix, arrow type in dimensions, etc.) is updated according to the last modified time/update. If the content of PMI annotations in the client was changed after an import operation, it will only be updated if it was also changed in the server.

Delete data in dependent file(s)

Delete data in dependent file(s) if it was deleted in the server. Hole attributes modified in the client will not be deleted.

This means that PMI annotations that are deleted in a server (or parent) file will also be deleted in a client (or child) file.

This also applies to hole attributes only if the hole attributes for a specific face were not changed in the client. If the hole attributes were changed in the client, then deleting them in the server does not delete them from the client.
