General Preferences > Importing NC Cutters

Access: Invoke this function from one of the following locations:

Select the Preferences button from the Quick Access Toolbar, or
Select Tools > Main Tools > Preferences from the menu bar.

Navigate to General > Importing NC Cutters.

Define the temporary folder location for the import of TDM Systems (TDM) and Sandvik Coromant CoroPlus© Tool Library cutter files to Cimatron. In addition, set preferences for deleting or retaining the files after import.

The Importing NC Cutters dialog is displayed.

Interaction

Set the parameters.

Importing from TDM
TDM Temporary Folder	Browse to and select the pre-defined folder where the cutter files are temporarily stored.
Delete temporary file after import	When this checkbox is ON (selected), the cutter files are deleted after the import is complete. When this checkbox is OFF (unselected), the cutter files are not deleted and remain in the folder.

Temporary Folder	Browse to and select the pre-defined folder where the cutter files are temporarily stored. The default location for the Coromant CoroPlus© Tool Library temporary folder is: ...\ProgramData\Cimatron\Cimatron\2026.0\Data\Nc\Tool_Library\
Delete temporary file after import	When this checkbox is ON (selected), the cutter files are deleted after the import is complete. When this checkbox is OFF (unselected), the cutter files are not deleted and remain in the folder.

Select the appropriate approval option.
