Unzip and Install Cimatron Configuration Files
Access: Open this function from the following location:

Cimatron Control Panel: Select Start > All Programs > Cimatron > Cimatron Control Panel.
Select Utilities > Unzip and Install Cimatron Configuration Files.
Unzip Cimatron configuration files onto your computer. This tool enables you to easily unzip and install Cimatron configuration files, previously zipped from another computer using the Zip Cimatron Configuration Files tool.
The Zip Cimatron Configuration Files and Unzip & Install Cimatron Configuration Files tools, enable you to easily standardize Cimatron configuration files among different computers.
Note: Zipping and unzipping configuration files can only be performed using the same version of the Cimatron Control Panel.

To unzip the configuration files:

InvokeInvoke the Unzip & Install Cimatron Configuration Files tool.
The Unzip & Install Cimatron Configuration Files dialog, shown above, is displayed.
The upper part of the dialog contains two panes. The left-hand pane contains the configuration files/folders previously zipped from another computer using the Zip Cimatron Configuration Files tool. The right-hand pane contains the configuration files/folders to be unzipped.
The lower part of the dialog contains various fields to assist you in selecting the appropriate configuration files to unzip.

Press the Load Zip File button to browse for and select the appropriate zip file. This loads the configuration files/folders previously zipped from another computer using the Zip Cimatron Configuration Files tool, into the left-hand pane.

From the left-hand pane, select the configuration files/folders you wish to unzip and press the > button to list these files/folders in the right-hand pane.
Alternatively, press the >> button to list all the configuration files/folders in the right-hand pane.
Select the Export folder and press the > button.
The Export folder and its contents, together with its full path location (parent folder names), is now listed in the right-hand pane of configuration files to be unzipped.

Press OK
to create the zip file in the defined location.
Parameters
The Unzip & Install Cimatron Configuration Files dialog contains the following fields:

The left pane lists the configuration files/folders previously zipped from another computer using the Zip Cimatron Configuration Files tool. The contents of this pane are displayed after selecting the appropriate zip file using the Load Zip File button (see below) and use the following icons:

Configuration Files to Install |
The right pane contains the configuration files/folders selected to be unzipped and installed onto your computer. If a sub-folder or specific configuration file is selected to be unzipped from the left-hand pane, it is displayed here, together with its full path location (parent folder names). |

Load Zip File |
This button enables you to browse for and select the appropriate zip file. This loads the configuration files/folders previously zipped from another computer using the Zip Cimatron Configuration Files tool, into the left-hand pane. Note: Zipping and unzipping configuration files can only be performed using the same version of the Cimatron Control Panel.

Exact Path |
This field displays the folder path of an item selected in the left-hand pane. This informs you of the exact location of the item within the Cimatron installation. |

Search |
Search for a specific item in the left-hand pane. Enter a search string and press the Find Now button. The first occurrence of the search string, if it exists, is highlighted. Press this button again to search for the next occurrence, etc.. |

Open With |
This button enables you to open a file displayed in the left-hand pane, with a program of your choice. This button is available for specific files and for all user-defined files. In other cases, this button is grayed out. |

Sort By |
Sort the contents of the left-hand pane according to criteria in the dropdown list. For example, if All Files is selected, then all the zipped files and folders are displayed in the left-hand pane. If NC is selected, then only the zipped files and folders related to NC, if any, are displayed. |

Selected File - Description |
This displays the description of items selected in the left-hand pane. Gray colored folders do not have a description. |
||||||
Backup Configuration Files Location |
A backup file is created when a configuration file is installed. This field displays the location of this backup file. The default name is Files_Back_up(<time-stamp>).bac; for example: Files_Back_up(06-16-08 16-13-43).bac. To reinstall a backup file, change the suffix from bac to zip and then load the file using the Load Zip File button. |
