Cimatron to DCAMCUT
Access: Select DCAMCUT from the menu bar and then choose the required option from the dropdown list. DCAMCUT is only displayed in the menu bar if it is installed on your computer.
Cimatron provides an interface to DCAMCUT®, enabling the export of Cimatron data (in IGES format) to DCAMCUT. DCAMCUT (a product of DCAM® GmbH) is an optimum Wire EDM CAD/CAM solution for the mold and die industry that can operate as part of the Cimatron manufacturing process.
If DCAMCUT is already installed on your computer, it can be launched directly from within Cimatron, with the data from Cimatron automatically exported to DCAMCUT.
To use this interface, the following prerequisites are required:
DCAMCUT must be installed on your computer.
An IGES license is required.
General Interaction
Select DCAMCUT from the menu bar and then choose the required option from the dropdown list. This menu bar option is available in the Part, Assembly and NC environments only if DCAMCUT is already installed on your computer.

Current File |
Select the current file to be exported to DCAMCUT. |

Picked Entities |
Pick the entities from the current file that are to be exported to DCAMCUT. |
Notes:

When exporting from an open Part or NC, both the above options are available.

When exporting from an open Assembly, only the Picked Entities option is available.

An entire assembly can be exported when the assembly file is closed. In this case, a browser is opened enabling you to select the required file (Part, Assembly or NC) to be exported to DCAMCUT.
Once the file/entities have been selected, DCAMCUT is invoked and the selected data is imported into it. From Cimatron, the data is exported to IGES and then imported as an IGES file into DCAMCUT.
