Updating Drafting Sheets

The following rules apply to updating within the Drafting environment:

• A view cannot be created from a non-updated model.

• Copy and Paste cannot be performed on a non-updated sheet and view.

• When updating a Drafting file, all views from the model are updated even if they are in separate sheets.

• If a drafting sheet is not updated, the title bar of the window will include the text, Not Updated.

  • To update a sheet, select Update  or go to Edit > Main Tools > Update from the menu bar.

  • To update multiple models, sheets, and views all at once, select Edit > Main Tools > Update All  from the menu bar.

  • To update multiple Drafting files, including all models, sheets, and views contained within the files, select File > File Tools > Drafting Batch Update  from the menu bar.

    Important! All Cimatron files must be closed for the Drafting Batch Update function to be available for selection from the menu bar.
