Entry Points
Set the tool’s entry point. Some or all of these options may appear, depending on the selected procedure. See below for the parameters that are displayed for the VoluMill Pocket and VoluMill Rough procedures.

Auto |
The entry point is automatically generated.

Optimized |
For multi-layer milling, an optimized single entry point will be generated for all layers. This point may be used for predefined drilling.

User-Defined |
Define your own entry point(s). An additional parameter is displayed: Number of Entry Points.
Select the number button next to this parameter and pick the required entry points. With each point you pick, the cutter is displayed at the point and the value in the number button increments by one. To exit the picking mode, press <exit><exit>. See here for additional information about picking points.

VoluMill Pocket and VoluMill Rough - Parameters
For VoluMill Pocket and VoluMill Rough, the following Entry Points options are available:

Auto - Allow Plunge |
The end point is automatically generated. |

Auto - Create Set of Pre-Drill Points |
Creates a set of pre-drill points. These points may then be used for predefined drilling. The set name is: This option is only displayed if the Volumill "Auto Create Set of Points" Option is selected in the Preferences. See below for additional parameters that are displayed when this option is selected. |

User-Defined |
Define your own end point. See below for additional parameters that are displayed when this option is selected. |
|
No Plunging |
Do not perform plunge motions. |
When the Auto - Create Set of PreDrill Points or User-Defined options are selected, the following additional parameters are displayed:

Pre-Drill Diameter |
Set the pre-drill diameter. |
|
Pre-Drill Tip Angle |
Set the pre-drill tip angle. |
|
Pre-Drill Z-Bottom |
Set the pre-drill Z-Bottom. This option is only displayed when the User-Defined option is selected. |
