Modeling Preferences

Access: Invoke this function from one of the following locations:

Navigate to Modeling.

Define Modeling preferences.

 

Parameters defined in the Preferences will be set as defaults throughout Cimatron. This automatic definition of parameters can save you time and also ensures consistency.

The following Modeling Preferences can be defined (listed alphabetically):

Assembly Mirror

When using the Assembly Mirror function, define the mirroring default preferences.

Colors

Define default modeling colors.

Curvature Map Ranges

Set the default colors and radii values used in the Curvature Map function.

Data Import Monitoring

Set the default update check behaviors for component file updates in Part and NC files, Assembly files, and Drafting documents.

Explode Lines

Controls the attributes of the explode lines.

General

Set default parameters for QuickSplit and Draft Angle Analysis and also the Preview option in the Feature Guide.

Hole Analysis

Set the default values for hole analysis operations. Set the default parameters for each type of analysis performed in the Hole Safety Distance function. In addition, set the parameters that define the default tolerances to identify holes and to create groups of similar holes.

Interference Check

Define the interference check parameters.

Long Screw Thread

Define how a screw cuts a plate if the screw extends beyond the plate.

Name Generator Parting

Set the options that will define the default structure and content of names for components, working files, extracted parts and folders.

Parting Shrinkage Compensation

Set the default Parting Shrinkage Compensation properties.

Sketcher

Set the default Part Sketcher preferences.

Stitch Properties

Set the default tolerance properties.

UCS Name

Hide or show the UCS name in the part.
