Access: Open this function from the following location:
Click the Makino button in the Job Manager Dialog.
This option is not enabled (grayed out) unless you have the appropriate license.
Cimatron provides an interface to share data with Makino® CSG (Collision Safe Guard), for the export of Cimatron data to Makino CSG. Makino is a machine tool builder.
The Cimatron-to-Makino CSG interface integrates both programs to verify and optimize NC programs and to simulate CNC machines. The setup data from Cimatron (tools, fixtures, and stock material) are automatically transferred into Makino CSG.
Checking the actual C-Code against the machine kinematics and CNC control system of a specific machine can eliminate both the need for on-machine CNC program try outs and the possibility of costly collisions.
Important: You must have a license to use this interface.
By running the Cimatron to Makino CSG Interface function (see below), Cimatron prepares the interface to run a Makino CSG simulation on the G-Code created by GPP2.
Machine Program File |
Browse to select the NC program to be simulated. By default, the name is taken from the parameter FILE_NAME in the EX2 post (this is the same file that is shown in the editor that is opened when the run of the post is finished). |
CSG Folder Number |
Enter the Makino CSG folder number. |
CSG Folder Name |
Enter the Makino CSG folder name. |
When finished, click OK. The following occurs:
The folder <CSG Folder Number>_<CSG Folder Name> is created as a zip file in the folder entered in the Machine Program File field of the above dialog. This zip file contains the files required for the Makino simulation.
