AutoFix: Triangular Section Remnant

Geometrical requirements

If this option is available for your machine, to use it the geoemtry must fulfill certain requirements:

- The piece must be a closed die.

- The enty motion must be perpendicular

- The entry motion can not be placed on a sharp corner

- There must be place enough on the first and last element of the contour to place the indicated remnant distances.

Functionality

This function will generate a triangular section remnant to allow removing the scrap by hittng on it. No Remnant Cut process is generated.

You can choose wheter to define the triangle referring to the bottom of the piece or to the top.

The required data fields are shown in the picture below

In both cases you can select whether to define the triangle by its height (H) or by its base lenght ((UR) or (LR)). The (R) letter in the picture stands for Remnant.

The values are under control due to the fact the triangle height is always referred to the informed height at the cutting conditions pages.

Case first element is an arc

In this case the geometrical requirements must be also fulfilled, but we can work in two ways depending on is selected or not.


Autofix movement will be as described in the images but the wire movement in the not fixed area is an arc instead of a line	Original geometry will be modified to apply the entry over a plane

Machine Limitations

The wire movement involves a wire inclination that could not be withstanded by the machine.

Due to this fact, the maximum inclination angle allowed by the machine for the current piece height is showed as information on the top left of the form, over the AutoFix image.

This angle is used to set the range values that are allowed once a remnant value is fixed.

These ranges are shown under the corresponding fields between parentheses and only a value in the range will be accepted as correct input data.

The maximum inclination angle also determines the range of remnant values allowed. If we don't have remnant or it exceeds the maximum remnant allowed, AutoFix functionality won't be available.
