Maximum 2D Distance

The remaining stock cannot be greater than this value.

The Maximum 2D Distance parameter determines if intermediate layers are needed, how many, and in what Z values.

Cimatron finds the maximum down step that fulfills the condition that the remaining stock is not greater than the Maximum 2D Distance. In other words, it will try to spread the between layers in such a way that from top view, the between layer contours will be not further than the Maximum 2D Distance.
