Mesh Introduction

A Mesh model consists of vertices, edges, and faces that use polygonal representation, including triangles and quadrilaterals to define a 3D shape.

Brep (or BREP) is short for Boundary Representation. In CAD, this is a method of representing shapes using their limits. For example, a solid object is represented as a collection of connected surface elements; a face is represented by a surface with boundary limits.

A dedicated menu enables operations between Mesh objects, offset on both closed and open Mesh bodies, and shell as well as fair/simplify (Decimate) of Mesh bodies. In addition, it is also possible to perform Hybrid Modeling such as Boolean Operations between Mesh and Solid. Read and write Mesh Formats now include STL, VRML, OBJ (Acrobat), PLY, 3MF, JT (read), as well as supporting colors and textures.
