Individual View Attributes
The attributes of individual edges can be changed by picking them individually, multi-pick or box-selection. To do so, make sure the Curve option is selected in the Selection Filter.
Pick the edge and change it from the Attributes Toolbar 
in the menu bar.
In the following example, the line width and style of the inside circle has been changed and different colors applied to each edge of the square.
Notes:

The attributes of a hidden line cannot be changed.

When the general view attributes are changed in the View attributes dialog, the individual view attributes are kept.

It is not possible to pick a whole part.
-
An object can be selected if object is selected in the selection filter.
