Graphic Card Driver Settings (Hardware)

It is recommended for NVIDIA chipset users to use the driver General settings (AutoCAD / CATIA settings are not recommended to be used).

Problem:

Some graphic cards crash and work very slow or leave dirt on the screen.

Solution:

Two hardware dependent options exist, as follows:

  • Select Display Properties > Settings > Advanced > OpenGL Settings > Graphic-Card Tab. Set the buffer-flipping (swap) mode to block transfer (Force Swap Copy).

  • Select Display Properties > Advanced > Troubleshoot and enable Write Combining.

Remark: If the problem is not solved for each of the above options, retrieve the default values.

Problem:

ATI FireGL cards create a damaged display.

Solution:

Enter the driver settings and change the configuration profile to AutoCAD (you can also get the same result by adding a new configuration profile and setting the option "Force copy swap" as On).

Problem:

ATI FireGL/Radeon cards create a damaged display while launching Cimatron files from the Windows Explorer.

Solution:

Refresh/Resize the window or launch files from the Cimatron Explorer.
