Grid and Snap Use 
Access: Open this function from one of the following locations:

Select View > Grid & Snap > Grid & Snap from the menu bar, and then select the required option. This method gives you control over all the grid and snap options.

Click the MMB+RMBMMB+RMB the graphics area, and then select the required option. This is a quick method to enable you to hide/show the grid and activate/deactivate the snap.
Turn Grid & Snap ON or OFF (for use in the Sketcher). Grid & Snap enables more precision in sketching and positioning elements in the graphics area.
When Grid mode and Snap mode are on, their use has an affect in the following areas:
- Use in Preview Interaction
- Use with Print
- Use with Plot
- Use with Save Image
- Use with Capture Image
- Use in Assembly
- Use with Constraints
Use in Preview Interaction
When Snap mode is on and you are previewing the creation of a Sketcher entity (such as a circle, line, rectangle, and so on), the preview of the entity is only displayed at each snap point. If the Snap mode is off, the preview is displayed continuously, until the entity is created. This is shown below using a circle as an example:

When the cursor is moved, the preview is not displayed until a snap point is reached by the cursor. |

Use with Print
If Grid mode is on and it is visible on the screen, and the Print function is used, the grid is displayed on the printout.
Use with Plot
The grid is not displayed when using the Plot function, irrespective of the status of the Grid mode (on or off).
Use with Save Image
If Grid mode is on and it is visible on the screen, and the Save Image function is used together with the Graphics Area - All option, the grid is displayed in the saved image.
Use with Capture Image
If Grid mode is on and it is visible on the screen, and the Capture Image function is used, the grid is displayed in the captured image.
