Part Menu Bar
The following menu bar is displayed when a Part file is open or a part is active in an Assembly file.

File
The following functions appear in the File dropdown menu - the actual functions displayed depend on your current Cimatron work environment (Part, Assembly, or Drawing or NC):

Create a new Cimatron file. (Part, Assembly, Drawing, NC). |

Open an existing Cimatron file. |
|
Close |
Close the current file. |
|
Close All |
Close all open files. |
|
|
Save the current file. |
|

|
Display the Cimatron Explorer.
Note: In the Initial Menu Bar, this option displays the Cimatron Explorer in the Manager View. |

Perform various import operations. |

Perform various export operations. |
||
|
Create 3D PDF documents that include parts and assemblies from Cimatron. This function increases communication and collaboration with customers and affiliates, by enabling them to easily:

Export a selected Cimatron file to the DWF format and email it. The interaction is as follows: When this option is selected, the Cimatron Explorer is displayed. Select the required file. The file is converted to the DWF format and is displayed as an attachment in a new email. Send the email! |
|
|
Compress Cimatron files to the CTF format. Dependent files, as well as catalog parts can be added to the compressed file. |
|
|
Extract Cimatron file from a packed CTF file. |
|
Retrieve an item from the Catalog using the Cimatron Explorer. |
||
|
Send the file to a plotter. |
|
|
Preview the printout - view how the printed file will look, before it is printed. |
|
|
Print the file. |
|
|
Print a selection or group of files all at once without the need to open and print each file individually. |
|
Display the properties of the currently open file. |

Exit |
Close the file and exit Cimatron. |

NC Specific File Menu Functions: |

Switch between the CAD and CAM (NC) environments. |
Edit
The following functions appear in the Edit dropdown menu - the actual functions displayed depend on your current Cimatron work environment (Part, Assembly, or Drawing or NC):

Using the Undo / Redo mechanism, you can go backward and forward in your part creation process. |
|

Various geometry selection options are available. |
||
Entity selection depends on how you drag the selection box. |
||
Access the Filter to choose the type of entity that can be picked. |
||
Move entities, including faces, curves, objects or NC ToolPath Trajectories. |
||
Copy entities, including faces, curves, objects or NC ToolPath Trajectories. |
||
|
Remove geometric entities of different types (bodies, faces, composite curves, sketches, points, datum, etc.). |
|
Suppress a feature (or a component in the Assembly environment) so that it appears in the Features/Assembly Tree, but is not displayed in the graphics area and will not be involved in part/assembly operations and regeneration. The suppressed features/components will be removed from the memory so that total memory consumption will be reduced. |
||
Unsuppress all suppressed items. |
||

Define/display leading dimensions. |
|
|
Update changes made in the parent file to be reflected in the child files; see Associativity. |
|
Define the local display method (local render mode on specific faces or objects). |

Assembly Specific Edit Menu Functions: |

Remove all the features before the selected feature. |

NC Specific Edit Menu Functions: |

Change Comment |
Change the comment that appears as a tooltip for the selected procedure or toolpath. |

Change the cutter used for the selected procedure. |

Update Criteria |

Reset all parameter relations to their defaults. |

Procedure/TP |

|
Modify the parameters of an existing toolpath. |
||
Modify parameters, geometry, or optimization conditions of an existing procedure. |
||
Load the default parameter values, the default "look", or save user-defined defaults. |
||
Suspend a previously executed procedure. |
||
Removes a Rapid / Max. Feed motion from the beginning of a procedure. |
||
Removes a Rapid / Max. Feed motion from the end of the procedure. |
||
If more than one cutter is used for a procedure, as a result of Holder Gouge Checking, divide the procedure into separate procedures, each of which uses one cutter. |

Select all items in the Process Manager. |
View
This menu contains View manipulation functions.
Datum
The following functions appear in the Datum dropdown menu - the actual functions displayed depend on your current Cimatron work environment (Part, Assembly, Drawing or NC):
Create a datum plane. |

Create a datum axis. |
||
Create a UCS. |
Curves
This menu contains Sketcher and Curve (wireframe) functions (Curve functions are displayed in the Part, Assembly (if a part is activated) and NC environments).
Faces
This menu contains Face functions for creating part geometry.
Solid
This menu contains Solid functions for creating part geometry.
DieDesign
This menu contains DieDesign functions to automate the die design process.
MoldDesign
This menu contains MoldDesign functions to automate the mold design process. Some of these functions are also available in the Mold Design Guide Toolbar. This guide is located on the right side of the Cimatron window and lists the MoldDesign functions in a logical order to guide you through the mold creation process, from start to finish.
Parting
This menu contains Parting functions to automate the parting process. These functions are also available in the Parting Guide. The Parting Guide, located on the right side of the Cimatron window, lists the Parting functions in a logical order to guide you through the parting process, from start to finish.
Electrode
This menu contains Electrode functions to automate the electrode design process. These functions are also available in the Electrode Guide. The Electrode Guide, located on the right side of the Cimatron window, lists the Electrode functions in a logical order to guide you through the electrode creation process, from start to finish
Catalog
This menu contains Catalog functions to define Catalog parts.
Tools
This menu contains Tools functions. These tools are used in all the Cimatron work environments (Part, Assembly, Drawing or NC); the actual functions displayed depend on your current work environment.
Analyze
This menu contains Analysis functions to display analysis data for the current file - the actual functions displayed depend on your current Cimatron work environment (Part, Assembly, Drawing or NC):
Window
This menu contains several options for manipulating multiple windows.

Access the Cimatron Online Help and Tutorial, as well as the Cimatron version information.
