Mold Design Menu: Mold Base Tools

Access: Open this group of functions from one of the following locations:

Select Mold Design > Mold Base from the menu bar. Select the required function.
Select Mold Base from the Mold Design Guide Toolbar. Select the required function.

This group of functions is used to define, edit, or delete a mold configuration.

Load an entire mold base plate set in just minutes utilizing standard and user-defined catalog parts

Easily load a standard mold base from commercial catalogs.
Work efficiently with non-standard mold bases using a dynamic mold base template that includes all components (plates, sliders, etc.).
Instantly modify dimensions of components and replace parts in the mold base at any point in the mold design process.

The available types of configuration are based on the initial parameters that you set while defining the types and sizes of mold plates that make up the Plate SetPlate Setthe mold plate configuration of the mold base. These include the Catalog and Standard or Non-standard Plate Sets.

Once you have defined the plate set, following the interaction in Load New, the core and cavity components are encased in the mold base.

Once the mold configuration is completed and the mold base has been created, the active parts need to be protruded from the cavity plate.

The following functions are available in this group:

	Add Mold Set	Add an assembly of mold plates and components.
	Delete Mold Base	Delete the mold configuration.
	Edit Mold Base	Edit the mold configuration.
	New Mold Base	Define the mold configuration. Create mold plates and components from a catalog configuration.
