Holder Gouge Check: Replacement Cutters

For Auto Search and Cutter Sequence options of Holder Gouge Checking, replacement cutters are used when gouging occurs.

The defined cutter shown below was chosen for the milling of this part.

When viewed from the front, it can be seen that the holder gouges the part at a certain stage in the milling.

A replacement cutter is chosen, depending on whether you chose Auto Search or Cutter Sequence options. (Using Auto Search, a replacement is sought in the cutters list, if no cutter is found then one is created. Using Cutter Sequence, a series of replacement cutters are taken from a predefined sequential list.)

The cut length of this new cutter is increased so that the holder does not gouge the part.
