User-Defined

Define your own start point(s). The system uses the X-Y coordinates of these points as input to define the closest start point for each of the closed layers.
IllustrationIllustration

The small blue squares represent user-defined points.
The black circles represent closed layers.

For each closed layer, the system defines the closest start point.

If User-Defined is selected, the following parameter is displayed:

Number of Defined Points

A button is displayed indicating the number of picked start points. By default, this is zero.

To pick the start points:

  1. Press the numerical button. You are now in point selection mode and the point picking cursor is then displayed when moved over appropriate entities.

  2. Pick the required point(s). For each picked point, a cutter is located at the indicated point and point counter on the button is incremented by one.

While in point selection mode, right-click to display a popup which enables you to edit the points. Reset removes all points and reverts the button counter to zero.

If the numerical button is pressed again, the cutters located at the picked points are displayed in blue.
ExampleExample

To exit from the point selection mode, click the middle mouse button (MMB).
