Horizontal Machining Expansion Parameters
The Horizontal Machining Expansion branch enables the milling of overlaps and extensions (the creation of extended motions beyond a surface edge) on horizontal regions when finish milling with a parallel strategy in the following procedures:
-
Surface Milling > Finish Mill All: where Machining Method = Parallel.
-
Surface Milling > Finish by Limit Angle: where Horizontal Areas is checked and Horiz. Machining Method = Parallel.
-
Surface Milling > Finish Horiz. Planar Areas: where Horiz. Machining Method = Parallel.
The following branch options are available:No, Basic and Advanced - No is the default option.
Branch option: Advanced
For a parameter description, click on a parameter in the dialog image below.
Depending on the procedure and your parameter settings, some parameters may not be available or other parameters may be displayed.
|
Branch option: Basic
The Basic option displays the following parameter and enables minimal control over horizontal machining expansion.
Branch option: No
The default option for this branch is No. This means that there will be no horizontal machining expansion.
