User Parameters
User Parameters are a set of predefined parameters, in the Motion Parameters Table, which are used to set user-defined Post Processor parameters.
The list of parameters to be displayed, their names and values are defined in an XML file:
...\ProgramData\Cimatron\Cimatron\2026.0\Data\PostParams.xml
This XML file can be edited by any XML/text editor.
This XML file is loaded into any new NC file and is saved within the NC ELT file (if the Cimatron ELT is opened on another computer, the original settings are used). This file is also saved as part of the document template; this enables you to use more than one predefined setting.
To replace the PostParams file stored in an open NC file with the PostParams.xml file stored in the Data folder mentioned above, use the function Replace Post Parameters (under the NC Utilities > Utilities menu).
The User Parameter branch is only displayed in the parameter table if it is predefined by your Cimatron Provider.
For Cimatron Providers: The Provider defines which parameters are included in the Basic state and also the parameter names, using the following controlsfollowing controls:
The User Parameters branch enables you to define the level of control over its use and over the display of the parameters in the branch. The following branch options are available: Basic and Advanced - Basic is the default option.
Branch option: Advanced
The Advanced option displays all the parameters in the branch and enables full control over them. It is most likely that you will not need to display this state, as the specific parameters that are supported by your Post were included in the Basic state by your Cimatron Provider.

Branch option: Basic
The Basic option displays the parameters defined by your Cimatron Provider as tailored for your Post requirements. An example of the Basic set of parameters (as defined by your Cimatron Provider) is shown below:
