MoldDesign > Preferences > Cooling Item Holes
Access: Invoke this function from one of the following locations:

Select the Preferences button
from the Quick Access Toolbar, or -
Select Tools > Main Tools > Preferences from the menu bar.
Navigate to MoldBase > Cooling Item Holes.
Define the default cooling item holes parameter settings. These parameters are used in the function Add Cooling Item With Channel.
The Cooling Item Holes dialog is displayed.
Interaction

Set the required options:

Default CHD |
Set the default CHD (Cooling Hole Diameter) value. The default values are 8 mm or 0.4375 inch. This default value is used unless the selected cooling item has a column in the catalog called CHD, in which case the value is retrieved from the catalog. |

Hole Depth Increment |
Set the default increment for the hole depth. The default values are 0.01 mm or 0.001 inch. |

|
Baffle Table Precision |
Set the default precision for the baffle table. The table of baffles is created by the Add Cooling Item With Channel function. The default for mm is #.## and for inch is #.####. |

Drilled End Type |
Set the default from flat, drilled, and ball end. |
|
|
Drill Bottom Angle |
When Drilled End is selected, set the angle to define the tip shape. |
|
|
Radial Offset |
Set the default radial safety offset. This determines the offset of the hole face. The default values are 7 mm or 0.25 inch. |

Tip Offset |
Set the default tip safety offset. This determines the offset of the cone tip face. The default values are 7 mm or 0.25 inch. |

Press the appropriate approval option.
