Automated Drill: Group Naming
In the Automated Drill procedure, the names assigned to groups of holes can either be user or system-defined. The default naming preference and settings are defined in the Groups Naming Preference (see also below).
Groups of holes in the Automated Drill procedure are automatically named based on the geometry of the holes and their manufacturing attributes.
A group name may contain the following elements:
Prefix, separator, Diameter sign, Diameter, separator, Attribute, separator, Blind/Through, separator, Sequential.
Some of these elements may be empty. The separator only separates between non-empty components.

If more than one attribute exists, the name is defined using the following priority:
Thread – the thread name is used. For example "M12", "3/8 -24 UNF".
Manufacturing Technique (use the string).
Coded (the value is used: H6, etc.).
Diameter tolerance, other than "coded" (the text defined in the Preference is used).
Exact Position (the text defined in the Preference is used).
Depth Tolerance (the text defined in the Preference is used).
In the examples below, note that the group names in the Automated Drill pane (Drill/Multi and any suffixes) are according to those defined in the Groups Naming Preference.
