From the EDM Setup dialog, in the Electrode dialog page, press the
button in the Burn Faces Area of the dialog.
Calculate the 2D and 3D burning face areas of selected faces. The system automatically selects the burning faces from the electrode, however you can also manually pick/unpick faces, if required. This operation updates the Burn Faces Area value fields in the Electrode dialog page of the EDM Setup dialog.
Required Step 1
Pick/unpick faces to calculate the 2D and 3D burning face areas of selected burning faces.

The system default is to automatically select all the burning faces from the electrode, however you can also manually pick or unpick the faces, if required. The system remembers the last pick status for each electrode and when in Edit mode (reentering the function), the last selection is visible.
The All Burning Faces button restores the system default of selecting all the burning faces of the electrode. This is useful if the electrode has multiple burning faces and you have manually unselected some of them.
The calculation of the 2D and 3D burning face areas is based on the selected burning faces.
