Attach Face
Access:
In the Parting
Tree, right-click a Split Direction or Unassigned Face and select
the Attach
option from the popup
menu.
The Attach option is only displayed
in QuickSplit
when a part or assembly is activated.
Attach a face from one QuickSplit direction to another.
Pick the relevant faces and then <Exit><Exit> while the cursor is positioned over the set to which it is to be assigned.
Notes:

Within the Part and Assembly environments, the active faces and the parting surfaces can be attached.

When attaching a face manually, it is added to the manually assigned faces list. See New Direction > Optional Step 2 for additional information on manually adding faces and how they can be cleared (unselected).
For example, in the QuickSplit operation below, part of the top split face is missing (shown in red). This face (highlighted in green) was inadvertently defined as part of the unassigned faces (shown here in gray).

To attach the missing face to the top split face:
|
Pick the face to be attached. |
<Exit><Exit> on the face to which it is to be attached. |
The face is now attached to the top split face. |
