Attributes Manager: Edit / Delete
Access: Open this function from the following location:

Cimatron Control Panel: Select Start > All Programs > Cimatron > Cimatron Control Panel.
Select Settings > Attributes Manager.
The Attributes Manager enables you to add, edit, delete or translate attributes that appear in the Properties pane of the Cimatron Explorer. These attributes appear in the General and Advanced groups within the Properties pane.

Only user-defined attributes are displayed and these are sorted alphabetically. 1 - The list of attributes in the AttrTrnMap.xml file. 2 - Attribute parameters. 3 - Tables associated with the Drafting application. 4- Applications where the attribute appears. 5 - Location of the Attribute Translation Map file (AttrTrnMap.xml) containing the attributes.

System resource files are located in the following folder:
...\ProgramData\Cimatron\Cimatron\2026.0\Data\Resource
English resource files are stored in the English sub-folder under Resource.
Edit
To edit an existing attribute:
In the Attributes Manager dialog, select the attribute in the left pane.
Edit the appropriate parameter values in the right pane.
Define the applications in which the attribute appears.
Define whether the Symbolic and BOM tables are to be updated.
Press OK . This button will only appear when all the fields are filled.
Press Cancel to return the fields to their original values.
Press Save.
Delete
To delete an existing attribute:
In the Attributes Manager dialog, select the attribute in the left pane.
Press Delete Attribute. A warning message will be displayed.

Press Save.
Edit Example
Change the Approved By field from an edit box to a dropdown list with values.

In the Attributes Manager dialog:
Select the Approved By attribute in the left pane. The parameter values are displayed in the right pane.
Change the Attribute Parameter Specification from Edit Box to Dropdown Menu.

Add the Dropdown List values - in this case Fred and Joe.
When you press the Add Option button in the Dropdown List Values section of the Attributes Manager dialog, an additional dialog is displayed for you to enter the new value; see Parameter Values for detailed information.

Press OK in this dialog to display the new value in the Attributes Manager dialog.

Press OK in the Attributes Manager dialog. This button will only appear when all the fields are filled.

Open the Cimatron Explorer to view the changed attribute.
