Component Chooser

The Component Chooser dialog is available when assemblies are involved in local import and export operations within Cimatron, from one Cimatron file to another. Within these import and export operations, when assemblies or components in assemblies are selected, an additional screen parameter is displayed, Open Component Chooser, which enables you to select the components to be imported/exported.

The Component Chooser dialog is also available when editing import operations involving assemblies or assembly components. In this case, the dialog enables you to the edit the list of imported components.

This dialog provides you with an alternate method of selecting component(s) (in addition to selecting them from the display); expand the tree as required to select the components to be included in the import/export operation.

When components are selected in the dialog, they are marked as selected in the display area, and vice versa.

Editing:

When editing, the Component Chooser dialog shows those components that were imported and those that were not imported into the file. Checked components were imported.

You can edit which components are to be imported by marking/unmarking the relevant checkboxes.

Import feature is not updated or disassociated:

If the import feature is Not Updated or is Disassociated, when you press the Open Component Chooser button, an appropriate message is displayed informing you that the assembly import cannot be edited. Correct the problem and then edit as required.

When you are finished, press OK or Cancel to close the dialog. OK keeps any selected components as selected.
