Face-Curve Fillet : Variable Radius

Create a fillet that is tangent to a set of smooth faces and goes through a curve.

The following examples show how the results change when the Constant Radius or Variable Radius parameter is selected. (Note that selecting the Variable Radius parameter also displays the Spline Transition / Linear Transition toggle parameter.)

PickPick(left mouse button) the smooth adjacent faces and exitexit(middle mouse button).

Pick the curve.

ExitExit(middle mouse button). The following is displayed. Ensure is selected (as well as the , , and  parameter options).

Pick points on the curve to define different radii values. The transition between the different points will be a linear transition in this case.

Click OK or Apply in the Feature Guide to complete the function. The results are displayed.

Spline Transition

PickPick(left mouse button) the smooth adjacent faces and exitexit(middle mouse button).

Pick the curve.

ExitExit(middle mouse button). The following is displayed. Ensure is selected (as well as the , , and  parameter options).

 

Pick points on the curve to define different radius values. The transition between the different points will be a spline transition in this case.

Click OK or Apply in the Feature Guide to complete the function. The result is displayed.
