Face-Curve Fillet
: Variable Radius
Create a fillet that is tangent to a set of smooth faces and goes through a curve.
The following examples show how the results change when the Constant Radius or Variable Radius parameter is selected. (Note that selecting the Variable Radius parameter also displays the Spline Transition / Linear Transition toggle parameter.)
The example below shows Variable Radius. For additional examples, see:
The following Constant Radius examples are shown:
Linear Transition
PickPick the smooth adjacent faces and exitexit .
Pick the curve.
ExitExit . The following is displayed. Ensure is selected (as well as the
,
, and
parameter options).
Pick points on the curve to define different radii values. The transition between the different points will be a linear transition in this case.
Click OK or Apply
in the Feature Guide to complete the function. The results are displayed.
Spline Transition
PickPick the smooth adjacent faces and exitexit .
Pick the curve.
ExitExit . The following is displayed. Ensure is selected (as well as the
,
, and
parameter options).
Pick points on the curve to define different radius values. The transition between the different points will be a spline transition in this case.
Click OK or Apply
in the Feature Guide to complete the function. The result is displayed.
