Facet Selection - Expand to Smooth

When selecting facets, expand the selection from the picked facet(s) to all neighboring facets where the angle between the facets is regarded as smooth, up to a defined Smooth Angle. This propagates the selection to neighboring facets as long as the angle between the adjacent facets is equal to or lower than the user-defined Smooth Angle.

The smooth selection of the faces reaches only up to the overhang angle (or vertical areas), as the region’s contour is trimmed according to the boundary of the overhang.

The Smooth Angle is displayed in an edit box under the Expand to Smooth icon on the Selection Toolbar. Edit the angle either directly in the edit box or by pressing the SHIFT key and using the mouse wheel to modify the size. The default size is 10°.
