NC Work Modes

Access: Open this function from one of the following locations:
Wizard Mode:
Advanced Mode:
There are two ways of working within NC: Wizard mode and Advanced mode. (Wizard mode is the default.)

What are the Differences between Wizard and Advanced Modes?
The difference is what you see in front of you on the NC Display. In terms of functions, options, and parameters, both modes are the same. The NC Guide is displayed in both modes.
Wizard Mode The amount of free space in the graphic display is maximized.

Advanced Mode

See NC Display to compare the appearance of the screen in both modes.
Whichever NC Work Mode you use, only those parameters relevant to the procedure will be available for editing in the table.
Work Mode Dialog Buttons
Both the NC Work Modes (Wizard Mode or Advanced Mode) contain buttons to control specific operations.
The following buttons are only displayed in the Wizard Mode:

Geometry |
Display the Geometry dialog. |

Cutters Holders |
Display the Cutters Holders dialog. |
|
Motion Parameters |
Display the Motion Parameters dialog. |
|
Machine Parameters |
Display the Machine Parameters dialog. |
The following buttons are common to the Wizard and the Advanced Modes:

Show/Hide Previous Stock |
Hide/Show the shape of the stock that is an input to the currently edited procedure. This option also appears in the Procedure Popup Menu. |

Load Preferred Look |
Load the Preferred Look Only of your NC parameter tables. This is your user-defined default as to which parameters are displayed (hide/show status). This does not load their user-defined default parameter values -just which parameters are displayed. |

Load Preferred Values & Look |
Load the Preferred Look of your NC parameter tables. This is your user-defined default as to which parameters are displayed (hide/show status) and their default parameter values. |

Preview |
The Preview dialog provides a set of parameters that can be quickly previewed and gives an analysis of the predicted result of running the procedure without having to actually calculate the procedure. |

Save Original |
Save the procedure under a new name and then close it. |
|
Save and Close |
Suspend, save and close the procedure (without executing). Cutter motions can be calculated later. |
|
Save and Calculate |
Execute, save and close the procedure. Cutter motions will be calculated. |
|
Cancel |
Cancel the current operation; close the procedure without saving. |
Note: The last four common options are also available on the Procedure popup submenu.
Right-clicking anywhere in the graphics window when a procedure is active displays the following options:

Show Stock |
Hide/Show the stock that is an input to the currently edited procedure. |
Save & Close |
Suspend, save and close the procedure (without executing). Cutter motions can be calculated later. |

Save & Calculate |
Execute, save and close the procedure. Cutter motions will be calculated. |
|
Save Original |
Save the procedure under a new name and then close it. |
|
Cancel |
Cancel: Cancel all changes and close the current dialog/task without saving the settings. |
|
Save & Calculate Immediately |
Execute the procedure immediately (in foreground mode), save, and close. Cutter motions will be calculated. |
