Advanced Limit Angles
When this checkbox is marked , display additional parameters; minimum and maximum angles for horizontal and vertical regions.
These additional parameters enable circular segment tools (2 and 3 radii), to mill at their best slopes and also enable better control of angles for regular tools, such as Ball and Bullnose.
In the example below, due to its geometry, the three radii cutter mills best on walls at an angle of 75°. The Finish Mill By Limit Angle set the slope between 73° and 77°. This mills the wall with the desired angle and avoids milling walls at a different angle.

If the Horizontal Areas parameter is ON, the Min. Horizontal Angle and Max. Horizontal Angle parameters are displayed. If the Vertical Areas parameter is ON, the Min. Vertical Angle and Max. Vertical Angle parameters are displayed. The Min. Angle for each region must be smaller than the Max. Angle for that region. When this checkbox is OFF |
Default = OFF
Default values and backward compatibility:
Min. Horizontal Angle = 0 (min = 0, max = 89).
Max. Horizontal Angle = Slope Limit Angle (min = 0, max = 89).
Min. Vertical Angle = Slope Limit Angle (min = 1, max = 90).
Max. Vertical Angle = 90 (min = 1, max = 90).
When switching to Advanced Limit Angles = ON, the values are set as above.
When switching back to Advanced Limit Angles = OFF, the Slope Limit Angle = Max. Horizontal Angle.
The Advanced Limit Angles parameter appears in the Tool Trajectory parameter grid for the Finish Mill By Limit Angle and the Rest Milling procedures.
