Hints and tips for Cleanup procedures

Note: Conic cutters can be used in Cleanup and Rest Milling as Previous and Current cutters. These cutters are considered by the system as cutting with the Ball/Bull nose part of the cutter only. The conic part of the cutter is considered as Shank for gouge checking.
If the Current cutter is conic, the Down Step must be less than the Corner Radius.

Notes:

    • When a previous procedure leaves material, Rest Milling takes this remaining material as the stock.

    • If there is no remaining material from a previous procedure (the current procedure is either a single procedure or has no connection with the previous procedure), Rest Milling uses the remaining material that remains from the previous tool of this procedure.

  1. For Technology, choose Remachine as the main selection, and Rest Milling as the subselection.

  2. Choose the appropriate cutter.

Note: The Minimum Clear Length calculation is available for this function.
