This option specifies how multiple pockets with more than one Z Step are to be machined. The following options are available from the dropdown list:

Depth First
|
Each pocket is machined to the final Z Depth and then moves onto the next one.

Level First
|
All selected pockets are machined at each Z Step. The process is then repeated until all the pockets are machined.

Note: The Sorting > Depth First/Level First options appear in the Tool Trajectory parameter table of the VoluMill Pocket procedure and are equivalent to the Machining By > Region/Layer respectively, in other procedures.
