2.5 Axes > Pocket - Parallel Cut

Cut along the edges of open contours.

Use a Flat tool to mill a plane at a given height. Cutter motions are at a constant depth and performed at each Z-layer.

1. For Technology, choose 2.5 Axes as the main selection, and Pocket - Parallel Cut as the subselection.

2. Choose the appropriate cutter.

3. Define the part and stock contours.

4. Define the following Motion Parameters:

   • Clearance & UCS

   • Entry & End Points

   • Boundary Settings

   • Tolerance & Surf. Offset

   • Tool Trajectory

   • Stock

   • Optimizer

   • User Parameters

5. Define the Machine Parameters.

6. When finished, you can choose from the following Work Mode Dialog buttons:

   • Save & Close to suspend

   • Save & Calculate to execute

   • Save Original

   • Cancel
